Animal adopter breaking contract, what do I do now?

I breed show animals. A past adopter of three animals signed a written agreement that had many stipulations, including that no animal(s) would be abandoned, and if she could/would not care for them, to contact us to reclaim them. She contacted me to tell me that she has released one of them into the wild cause he was unfriendly. I have informed her that I will be reclaiming the other two animals this weekend.

She is now threatening me with her "multi-million dollar lawyer father", and telling me she will have me arrested if I show up at her door this weekend.

Does she have any legal right to do this? If I go down to reclaim them, can I be arrested? Do I need to take her to court in order to obtain my animals? It seems very clear to me that she abandoned an animal, and said she would not.

Can anyone help with this?

If you have a copy of the contract, it should be legally binding. I would contact your lawyer if you have one or contact the law enforcement agency in their area to see whether they will enforce the return of the dogs.

What kind of person "releases" a dog into the wild?
