If a store fails to remove a sale sign from view aren't they obligated to honor it if the sale is over?
If there is no date and they have it posted in the store by the cash register it seems like they would take it down if the price wasn't correct anymore. My decision to buy it was based on the sign being there. . Does that qualify as misrepresentation?
If the date the sale ends is on the sign, then it is a matter of store policy, not the law.
It would only be illegal if it can be established the store is intentionally placing sale signs with the intent to get you to purchase the item at full price.
Misrepresentation is intentional. You must establish intent.
