Psoriasis is a disease affecting millions of Americans today. This skin condition occurs when fawlty signals from the immune system cause an increase in skin cell production. A normal skin cell will mature and slough off in about a month, but in cases of Psoriasis, these cells mature in a few days and build up, causing lesions.
