Is it dangerous to live near power substations? What are the risks?

We intend to move into a house that is From about 50 feet of an electrical substation (in a brick building was rather small - about the size of garage), owned by a company National Power. It is sometimes seen in areas closed or near homes with signs that say things like "risk - risk of Electricution" etc. Are there risks to health living so close to that position - especially for children such as leukemia, cancer? Is that the same risk as living near electricity pylons? Me difficulty finding information about him - that Yahoo Groups Re this? Thanks

There is no health risk to go, waves, etc. "The only thing that crossed through my mind was a transformer blew some cases not so long ago, but I do not think any local property has been damaged, and certainly not an ordinary event.
