I do not know whether or not research at the University of Cambridge actually found that as the first and last letters of a word is in the right place, the remaining letters can be encoded and the brain does it all. What I do know is that this can make it very difficult to ensure that writing words correctly that appear in the sign of the Digital.

It is easy to see digital signage as an extension of television. After all, it uses the same type of screen graphics and video and television.
